Tim's Car Accident

Tim got into a car accident about a week and a half ago. He was on his way home from work...driving in the far right lane...when a car (didn't see him in his blind spot) on the left side decided to cross over two lanes to try and make a right turn. He drove RIGHT in front of Tim.

Poor Tim. Poor Corolla.

A picture of the front of the car shows how the whole front of the car is "pushed" to the side. I won't post that pic b/c Tim is laying on the car in an odd position. He'd have to approve the pic, first. :)

The car has been sitting at an auto repair shop for a while now...and we've had the privilege of driving a brand new Chevy rental car...the other driver's insurance company had been avoiding Tim's calls...whatever. As long as they continue to pay for our Corolla to sit at the shop AND for the rental...

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

This is what my Mom has been making for me to eat. Every day. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Ginger Fried Rice with Egg. Some kind of Chicken Chinese Soup. And Pigs Feet with Hard Boiled Eggs in Black Vinegar. (The foods actually pretty good...and since I don't have to make it, I'm definitely not gonna complain.)

Here's some info I found online (about Chinese Traditions) to help explain my diet...and stuff:
  • Pregnancy is considered a "hot" condition, so to balance the scale between "hot and cold" or "ying and yang" cold foods must be consumed throughout pregnancy.
  • Post partum is considered a "cold" condition due to blood loss during labor. Hot foods are required  to rebuild lost blood supply.  If cold foods are eaten at this time it can result in headache or arthritis in old age.
  • Hot foods would include, hot water, hot tea, ginger, vinegar, pigs feet and high protein meats,  although beef should be avoided because it slows healing.
  • Stay in doors for at least thirty days, this is called the "sitting month".
  • To prevent complications and avoid upsetting the balance of "hot and cold", avoid showering, washing hair, or exposing yourself to any cold conditions such as air conditioning, open windows, drafts or doorways during the "sitting" month.

Everyone else gets to load up on Watermelon. I've had a slice or two, but am not supposed to eat too much b/c Watermelon "cools" the body. :(

Nursing for Baby #2 has been SO much easier. And my milk has come in so much faster...and I'm producing a lot!

Hair wash and sponge bath from Grandma Chan.

A bit small in his 0-3month onesies...

Wrapped up.

Me and my baby.

I was worried that I wouldn't have much milk for Eli (since I didn't seem to be leaking everywhere like I did when Pregnant with Olivia). I was very surprised at how fast my milk came in, though...and once I got home, was able to pump a LOT of milk.

Tim and Grandpa Chan fixing the kitchen sink. We've had a lot of "fun" with random things breaking (or just needing work) on our house. The Kitchen sink disposal, the dishwasher, the hot water heater, the stairs into the attic... man!

Eating some yummy Indian food! LOVED my mango lassi...

Grandma eating with Olivia at the "baby table".

Ta da! Grandpa's MacBook Pro finally came!

This is September 7th. Tim went and picked up my parents and Olivia to come see me and Elijah in the hospital.

Grandpa got some Almond Roca's to celebrate.

One night for dinner, Tim stopped by Whataburger...my dad has been wanting to try it for a couple of weeks now. After eating these burgers, both my parents claim to have gained 3 pounds.
